Because of suspected weakness of concrete itself at this reinforced concrete structure of the active heavy industry facility, concrete samples were tested for both mechanic and chemical properties. Especially Alkali silica reaction was investigated at the particular studies. After consulting an expert from an university about this specific case, OTS worked out a performance analysis for the worst case scenario. Local strengthening designs for several critical points were developed during the project service time.
