The mosque, which suffered serious structural damages during the Bosnian war, was renovated after the war. In 2019, it was incorporated in Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) restoration program. Structural security level of the mosque and surroundings was identified and OTS also recommended the organization of a structural monitoring system for the structure.
